Határtalan madár

1989-ben az akkori Magyar Szocialista Munkáspárt Politikai Bizottsága döntést hozott a Vasfüggöny lebontásáról. A Vasfüggöny és annak a bontása nem csak történelem a hetésieknek, hanem az idősebb generáció számára a megélt valóság is egyben.

A Vasfüggöny drótjaiból az egykori nyomsáv környékén még mindig lehet találni a hetési erdőkben. 2014-ben ezeket a drótdarabokat értelmezte újra két Hetésben élő művész, Balog Anita és Árvay László. A magyar-szlovén határon, az egykori Vasfüggöny nyomvonalán, a Barátság parkban álló szoborkompozíciójuk a "Határtalan madár" nevet kapta. A drótot a helyiek találták meg. Hetési férfiak segítségével sikerült az erdőből kihozni, hogy a leendő parkba készítsünk belőle "valamit". A park kialakításánál segédkezett Balog Anita. Az Ő ötlete volt, hogy a régi szúrós drótot, ami annyi negatív dolgot juttat a helyiek eszébe, alakítsuk át egy művészi alkotássá, mely emlékeztet ugyan a Vasfüggöny időszakára, ugyanakkor olyan könnyen értelmezhető üzenete van, hogy ez már nincs, vége, s bár az emlékezetünkből nem kitörölhető, de most már szabadság van, határtalanság. Maradt még drótunk!

In 1989 the Political Committee of the Hungarian Socialist Workers' Party made a decision to demolish the Iron Curtain. The Iron Curtain and its demolition is not simply history for the people of the Hetés but, at least for the elderly generation, a time they lived through. There are still bits of the wire of the Iron Curtain scattered in the Hetés woods in the frontier zone. In 2014 Anita Balog and László Árvay, two artists living in Hetés, re-interpreted these bits of wire. The sculpture erected in the Park of Friendship, on the Hungarian-Slovenian border where the Iron Curtain used to be, was named 'Bird without Borders'. The wire was collected by the local residents. It was retrieved from the woods with the help of the men of Hetés so that it can be used to make 'something' in the proposed park. Anita Balog was helping with the design of the park. It was her idea that we should convert the old, spiky object, which has such strong negative connotations for the locals, into a work of art, which still brings back memories of the Iron Curtain era but has an easy-to-understand message that those times are over, and even though they will always remain with us in our memories, now we live in a free, borderless world. We still have some wire!

Leta 1989 je politični odbor takratne Madžarske socialistične delavske stranke sklenil, da se bo železna zavesa ukinila oziroma podrla. Za prebivalce Hetésa ta dogodek ne predstavlja samo del zgodovine. Starejši generaciji pomeni namreč hkrati tudi doživeto resničnost. V gozdovih ob nekdanjem mejnem pasu lahko kose bodeče žice najdemo še danes. Leta 2014 sta umetnika Anita Balog in László Árvay iz Hetésa tem zarjavelim ostankom podarila nov pomen. Njuna skulptura, poimenovana "Ptica brez meja" je svoje mesto dobila v Parku prijateljstva na madžarsko-slovenski meji, tam, kjer je nekoč potekala železna zavesa. Na žico so naleteli domačini. S pomočjo hetiških mož so jo izvlekli iz gozda, češ naj iz nje naredimo "nekaj" za bodoči park. Pri ureditvi parka je pomagala tudi Anita Balog. Porodila se ji je zamisel, da bi lahko staro bodečo žico, ki krajane spominja na toliko negativnih stvari spremenili v umetniško delo, ki bo sicer spominjalo na obdobje železne zavese, hkrati pa bo imelo tudi tisto enostavno in razumljivo sporočilo, da je tega obdobja konec. In čeprav bo v našem spominu ostala za vedno, se moramo hkrati tudi zavedati, da imamo sedaj svobodo in brezmejnost. Še zmeraj imamo nekaj žice!
